Event Policies

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellations must be made at least five business days prior to the event to be eligible for a refund, minus a $50 administrative fee. Cancellations made less than five business days before the event are non-refundable.

Because of immediate access, purchased on-demand webinars are non-refundable.

Photo and Attendee Consent Notice

By registering for or attending any event or program hosted by the Michigan Dental Association, I give permission for the association to photograph or record me for use in event-related news coverage, promotional materials, or publicity. I also consent to having my name listed publicly as an event attendee when appropriate.

Acknowledgment of Support and Disclosure Statement

Sponsorship support helps the Michigan Dental Association and the dental profession by providing partnership opportunities and financial assistance that reduce registration fees for attendees. The Michigan Dental Association may share attendee contact information with confirmed continuing education event sponsors.

If you do not want your contact information shared with sponsors, please e-mail the Continuing Education department at CEdepartment@michigandental.org no later than two business days before the event. Please note that opting out may make you ineligible for any incentives, prizes, or discounts offered by sponsoring companies.

Virtual Meeting and Online Event Code of Conduct

The MDA is committed to maintaining a professional, respectful, inclusive, and productive environment for all virtual meetings and online events. Participants are expected to act with professionalism and respect, protect confidential information, follow meeting guidelines, and refrain from harassing, disruptive, commercial, or otherwise inappropriate conduct. Violations may result in removal from meetings, loss of privileges, or other actions under MDA policies.

AI Notetaking, Meeting Bots, and Automated Transcription

AI notetaking tools, meeting bots, and automated transcription services are prohibited at MDA meetings unless expressly authorized by the MDA or meeting organizer. Unauthorized use, recording, or sharing meeting content with AI systems may result in removal from the meeting and other actions under MDA policies.
