Combining professional growth, tropical destinations, and luxurious accommodations, this Caribbean cruise promises to be an unforgettable journey for dental professionals and their families.

The Michigan Dental Association and the Wisconsin Dental Association are teaming up to bring dentists and dental team members an experience that combines fun, sun, relaxation and learning. This seven-day cruise aboard Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas departs from Port Canaveral, Florida on January 16, 2027, and travels to St. Maarten, Puerto Rico and Perfect Day at CocoCay in the Bahamas. Continuing education courses will be offered during the days at sea covering caries management, operative dentistry, and implants. It’s a great get-away with just the right timing, after the holidays and before the Chicago Midwinter dental meeting. 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM Minimally Invasive Caries Management This course presents a contemporary, evidence-based approach to caries diagnosis and management, emphasizing risk assessment and preservation of tooth structure. Participants will learn how to differentiate when to intervene surgically versus manage lesions non-operatively, along with an overview of modern therapeutic agents used in caries control. The goal is to develop a more precise, biologically driven framework for everyday clinical decision-making.

8:30 AM - 11:30 AM Operative Dentistry - From Adhesion to Isolation This lecture outlines a modern restorative workflow, focusing on the principles that underpin predictable adhesive dentistry. Topics include effective isolation strategies, adhesive protocols, material selection, and step-by-step approaches to restoring teeth with consistency and efficiency. Emphasis is placed on translating evidence into practical, repeatable techniques in daily practice.

8:30 AM - 11:30 AM Implants for the Dental Team - From Start to Finish This course provides a comprehensive overview of implant dentistry, covering key concepts from treatment planning through final restoration. Participants will gain clarity on surgical considerations, restorative workflows, implant components, and interdisciplinary communication. Designed for the entire dental team, the course aims to build a cohesive understanding of how to execute implant cases with confidence and predictability.

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Perfect Day at CocoCay, Bahamas Perfect Day at CocoCay is split into 10 unique neighborhoods, each with its own activities. There are plenty of free things to do around the island, as well as premium experiences available for purchase. Seven of the neighborhoods are free admission, and three require a paid admission: Thrill Waterpark, Coco Beach Club, and Hideaway Beach (adults-only beach).
