Speaker: Mario Romero, DDS

6 CE credits Open to Dentists Only

Natural looking restorations is what composite resin is all about and with the biomaterials we have available today this is 100% attainable. Some cases can be managed with a single shade, while others require multiple shades and opacities. In this course Dr. Romero will walk you through the color gradient concepts and how it will play an important role in your decision-making process. In addition, participants will gain insight into the management of large Class II’s that require cusp build-up, deep margin elevation, and advanced matrix systems techniques.

Learning Objectives:

  • Select an isolation technique compatible with bonding procedures.
  • Select the bonding material and protocol for the restoration depending on the clinical demands.
  • Differentiate when to use one shade, two shades or multiple shades for anterior restorations.
  • Re-create natural texture on your restorations.
  • Recognize the benefits of the centripetal, successive cusp build-up, and stress reducing direct composite restoration (SRDC) techniques for ideal esthetics and function to maximize the longevity of the restoration.
